HFIR Scheduling Lead 2013-Present
Responsible for scheduling and planning of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance in addition to operations activities for the division and experiment support. Develops long range schedules for engineering projects, operating cycles and maintenance periods supporting division goals and objectives. Chair the daily POD and outage coordination meetings for directing operational, maintenance and experiment support activities. Leads development of prioritization for optimized facility and equipment use, solutions to work execution issues and resource allocations in support of successful work completion. Develop and provide status reports on metrics. Provide leadership and foster a teamwork environment with all HFIR complex work and experiment groups. Interface with stakeholder groups, senior staff and managers to provide solutions to technical problems and ensure objectives are achieved.
HFIR Cold Source Staff Member 2007-2013
Commissioned and operated the HFIR Cold Source cryogenic plant (helium refrigerator cooled hydrogen moderator). Developed and maintained the initial operating procedures for cold source plant. Developed detailed job plans for maintenance work (corrective, preventative, predictive and breakdown).
HFIR Shift Supervisor 1998-2007
Supervise nuclear facility operations personnel as well as personnel conducting activities inside the facility. Supervise on-going operations, maintenance, and experiment support activities. Responsible for maintaining facility configuration within authorized safety basis, refueling activities, and spent fuel inventory control.
HFIR Reactor Operator 1994-1998
Safe and efficient operation of the research reactor and support systems. Handle hazardous and special nuclear material. Performed refueling, handling of reactor experiments and samples.
