As a Conference Planning Specialist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, I have the privilege of organizing events that bring together some of the brightest mind in science and technology. From large conferences to smaller work shops, I handle planning and logistics including, contract negotiations, catering details, evaluating meeting locations and venues, coordinating audio visual and meeting space set up, facilitating room blocks, reserving transportation, among other tasks such as event close outs and arranging payment for expenses.
I am passionate about creating events that not only support the incredible work done at ORNL, but also help to foster connections and encourage collaboration. Whether working with researchers, vendors, or fellow event planners, I make sure every detail is in place so the attendees can focus on what matters most: learning, sharing knowledge, and advancing science.
I love the challenge that each event brings and balancing logistics with creatively while following protocols and procedures outlined by ORNL/UT Battelle, LLC to make each event a success. I am driven by the opportunity to contribute to an environment that promotes the mission of ORNL.
