
Bio
Dr. Villanova was a postdoctoral research associate in the Nanomaterials Theory Institute in the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics from the Department of Physics at Virginia Tech in 2018. He was formerly a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. His research focuses on the use of density functional theory to understand properties of topological materials and low-dimensional systems.
