Bio
Jeremy Rumsey is a senior science writer and communications specialist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF). He covers a wide range of science topics and research achievements made possible by Frontier, the world's most powerful supercomputer.
For nine years, prior to rejoining OLCF, he wrote about about energy and materials research conducted at two world-leading neutron scattering facilities, the Spallation Neutron Source and the High Flux Isotope Reactor.
His career at the lab began in 2012 as an OLCF intern shortly before the Jaguar supercomputer was upgraded to Titan and subsequently crowned the world's most powerful petaflop machine. He also developed communications for ORNL's next supercomputing system, Summit, currently ranked 9th on the TOP500 list of world's fastest supercomputers.
