
Bio
Jason Newby is a senior staff researcher in the Physics Division at ORNL and leads the Neutrino Research Group to experimentally determine the fundamental properties of neutrinos and their interactions with matter. Jason is a founding member and deputy spokesperson of the COHERENT collaboration at the Spallation Neutron Source which uses the brightest accelerator-produced neutrino pulses in the world to conduct pioneering experiments on the edge of detection. Jason also collaborates with researchers from the nuclear nonproliferation community to develop applications for neutrino instrumentation for nuclear security.
