Bio
In March 2022, Jason began his new role as a Senior Project Manager in the PMO serving the APPL facility in BESSD. Jason brings his operational experiences gained in 20 years of operational computing roles as well as the experiences gained as the Risk Manager for the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility and the Exascale Computing Project to help the APPL facility come online and meet the goals of the programs that are waiting to use the instrument.
Jason served as the Risk Manager for the OLCF - both project and operations from 2016-2022. He provided the focal point for OLCF Department of Energy reporting deliverables, and has extensive knowledge of the Operational Assessment process from the OLCF's sponsor.
Jason began his career at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2007 and spent 10 years in the HPC Operations Group (now the HPC Storage and Archive Group in the Systems Section) performing system administration and later Team Leader responsibilities for the technical teams that manage parallel file systems and archival storage.
