Emrullah Aydin received his B.Sc. degree in the Electrical Engineering department from Firat University, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey in 2009, 2014, and 2020 respectively. After receiving Ph.D., he started working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Malatya Turgut Ozal University, Turkey. He was a visiting researcher to conduct his post-doctoral research studies at Vehicle Power Electronics Research Group in the Buildings and Transportation Science Division, ORNL, in 2022. In December 2023, he joined ORNL as an R&D Associate Staff in the same group.

His current research area is electromagnetics in power electronics applications. He has been working on the design and applications of Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems with more than 9 years of experience. He has expertise using FEA software for 3D designs, modeling, and simulation of magnetic systems and thermal analysis of power electronics and magnetics. Furthermore, he has expertise in winding and assembly of coils.
