Elizabeth Schmitt is a dedicated staff technician within the Deposition Science and Technology group at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). With over 10 years of experience in job shop manufacturing and a background in machining, Elizabeth specializes in electron beam and laser powder bed fusion machines.
She holds a certification in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and has undergone extensive training in Additive Manufacturing through the Advanced Training Defense Manufacturing program in Danville, VA, prior to her tenure at ORNL. Elizabeth is committed to leveraging her practical experience and specialized training to support ORNL's Core Values: Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service.
