Dunji Yu joined ORNL as a Scientific Associate for VULCAN in 2020. Dunji received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering Process Machinery from Tianjin University in China. His research interests include industry applications of neutron diffraction for phase transformation, phase-specific load sharing, and residual stress of materials under mechanical loads. Dunji is also interested in finite element simulation of engineering problems for the evaluation of structural integrity of process equipment, and mechanical testing and modeling of monotonic and cyclic deformation of materials.
