Bio
Don Caverly is 7920 Hot Cell Operations Group Lead, working in facility operations/maintenance for Building 7920 and its support californium-252 and plutonium-238 programs.
Don joined in ORNL in 2010 and previously worked as a hot cell technician and shift supervisor in the Radiochemical Engineering Development Center (REDC) and as a specialist/task lead for 7920 Hot Cell Operations and 7930 Operations Group Leader.
In 2018, he received a lab wide award for Operational Support.
Don retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve in 2023 after more than 20 years of combined active and reserved duty.
He is pursuing his degree through Thomas Edison State University Undergraduate Program of Military Technologies and Leadership
