Bio
Daniel Fleming is a skilled research technician in the Surface Engineering and Tribology group within the Materials Science and Technology Division at ORNL. He has performed quality work as a High-Temperature Materials Processing Technician and has been instrumentational in cutting edge research for multiple divisions and groups that include, CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition), CVI (Chemical Vapor Infiltration), vacuum system installation, 3D design, and sample cutting and preparation.
He graduated top of his class at Roane State Community College with an Associate's Degree in Mechatronics Technology where he developed skills in PLC programming, Solidworks, electrical and mechanical fabrication/troubleshooting, instrument calibration, public speaking and presenting, 3D metal analysis, team leading, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting/fabrication. He also holds Siemens Level I and II Certifications.
