Bio
Dr. Celik is a Senior R&D staff member of the Nuclear Criticality group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). His research areas include Monte Carlo particle transport, nuclear data testing, scientific software development, nuclear criticality safety, radiation shielding, and critical experiment design and evaluations. His key responsibilities include leading nuclear data meetings, software development and maintenance of SCALE, AMPX, and SHIFT code systems, and performing analysis and evaluations to support division programs such as HFIR and CASL. He completed his B.S. and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Hacettepe University in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 2010.
