Bio
Brandon Hambrick is an accomplished professional serving as an Isotope Production Analytical Chemist at the Transuranium Analytical Laboratory (TAL) within the Chemical Sciences Division (CSD) at ORNL. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in May 2017, laying a strong foundation in materials analysis and process engineering.
Brandon’s career began with a robust start at ORNL, where he contributed as a sub-contracted Operations Technician for the Low Activation Materials Development & Analysis Laboratory (LAMDA) from March 2019 until July 2020. This role provided him valuable hands-on experience in advanced analytical techniques and operational processes, further honing his skills in materials science.
Following his tenure at LAMDA, Brandon expanded his expertise in metallurgy by working as an Ingot Metallurgist for Arconic Tennessee Operations from November 2021 until March 2023. In June 2025, Brandon joined ORNL as an Isotope Production Analytical Chemist at TAL. His diverse background in materials science, metallurgy, and analytical chemistry equips him with a unique perspective and technical proficiency that enriches ORNL’s research and operational capabilities.
