Andrew Conant is a current R&D nuclear engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division. He graduated in 2019 with his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Tech. My main areas of interest include reactor physics and modeling, nuclear nonproliferation, and the intersection of security policy with nuclear technology.
Current work (updated August 2023):
Reactor physics for analysis of fuel materials
Multi-physics simulations for validation
Antienutrino reactor monitoring
Isotopic analysis for safeguards & nonproliferation
Research reactor design & optimization
Advanced reactor modeling & simulation
