Bio
Andrei Savici is a computational Instrument scientist, working with the direct geometry spectrometers and the triple axis spectrometers. He has received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. Following postdoctoral appointments at Brookhaven National Laboratory and at Johns Hopkins University, Andrei joined the computational effort at the Spallation Neutron Source.
He is focused on developing user software for data reduction and analysis for various neutron scattering experiments. Andrei is a developer of the Mantid software package. His work include contributions in understanding the statistical significance of neutron scattering measurements, such as in the case of diffuse elastic scattering. His experimental interests include low dimensional quantum magnetism and superconductivity.
