Andrea Beatty is a strategic business professional with more than 15 years of experience in program administration, proposal development, and operational management. She is currently in the Physical Sciences Directorate and works on proposal submission for the Department of Energy Office of Science, including Basic Energy Sciences and High Energy and Nuclear Physics. Andrea is recognized for her expertise in coordinating complex, high-value scientific proposals, managing programmatic reporting, and ensuring compliance with DOE requirements. Throughout her tenure at ORNL, Andrea has played a key role in securing and managing major research initiatives, supporting proposal submissions totaling hundreds of millions of dollars in requested funding. She has successfully led large-scale program reviews, coordinated cross-functional teams, and developed processes that improve efficiency and accountability across research organizations. Beyond her routine responsibilities, Andrea has played a pivotal role in mentoring colleagues and guiding key projects, demonstrating a blend of technical proficiency, emotional intelligence, and proactive service that has earned her awards such as the ORNL Culture Award for Service and the Division Support Award.
