Bio
Amy Jones is the Instrument Engineering Group Lead in the Neutron Technologies Division. She manages the group to provide development and deployment of world-leading, reliable and safe neutron instruments to enable a world-class neutron science program at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). Amy joined ORNL in 2006 and has provided engineering design and project leadership on a wide variety of neutron instruments in the SNS and HFIR instrument suite, including project lead roles on VULCAN, WAND2, and Bio-SANS. Prior to becoming Group she held the role of Instrument Engineer Design Team Lead and is currently an active board member of the International Society of Neutron Instrument Engineers.
