Alexandra M Davis
Postmasters Research Associate
Alex Botts has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from West Virginia University’s Industrial Management and Systems Engineering department. Her thesis was focused on energy efficiency in desiccant compressed air dryers. While at WVU Alex joined the university’s Industrial Assessment Center in 2016 during her undergraduate studies and conducted research throughout her graduate studies until she graduated in 2019.
Alex’s energy efficiency background was developed through her experience with the WVU IAC. The foundation of her knowledge covers the general principals most major energy systems seen in manufacturing. However, during her thesis she began to take a particular interest in compressed air. Alex intends to further her knowledge is all areas of manufacturing with an emphasis on compressed air systems. Alex is currently working to assist with the development of DOE tools (MEASUR) that will replace the legacy tools AirMaster+ and MotorMaster+.
