Bio
Alex Shaw has been at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since August 2020. His primary work areas include SCALE validation for criticality safety applications, criticality safety analysis related to commercial fuel storage transportation and disposal, and advanced reactor readiness analysis with the SCALE code system. Alex supports research and analysis for governing regulatory bodies related to criticality safety, while also assisting SCALE user training and feedback.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering (May 2020) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering (May 2018) from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
