Bio
Dr. Abinash Kumar is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy Group at Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS),ORNL. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) after earning his B.S. & M.S. in Materials Science from Indian Institute of Science (IISc). His Ph.D. research focused in determining the correlation among chemistry, structure and property in compositionally complex systems
using scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) with the application of automation and statistical methods in image acquisition and analysis. His current research interests lie in characterizing energy and quantum materials using STEM techniques.
