
Bio
Aaron grew up in central Florida and joined the Navy after high school. He spent over ten years in the nuclear navy where he specialized in reactor plant chemistry and radiological controls, and served as a shift supervisor on the USS Alaska and Instructor at the Nuclear Prototype Training Unit. Completed training as a nuclear plant operator and laboratory technician in June of 2015 and reported to the USS Alaska for duty. Served in roles managing reactor plant chemistry and radiological controls supervision before qualifying as an Engineering Watch Supervisor (Reactor Shift Supervisor or Senior Reactor Operator equivalent) in 2019. Transferred to instructor duty at the Nuclear Prototype Training Unit and trained enlisted and officer students in all aspects of Navy nuclear reactor operations and maintenance. Completed Naval service and joined the ORNL team, excited to put his nuclear training and education to work for the benefit of society in radioisotope production.
