Data and AI Systems Section

Managing and gaining knowledge from data.

The Data and AI Systems Research Section addresses challenging problems through the use of advanced AI; enables the management, movement, and visualization of very large scientific datasets for HPC; and drives new knowledge discovery for scientific and national security challenges through advanced computing technologies. 

The section has capabilities in the following areas:

• Visualization: Methods, tools, and technologies for visual data analysis.
• Learning Systems: AI, ML, and data analysis at scale.
• Workflow Systems: Large-scale data management, workflow, and data compression.
• Performance Engineering: Engineering and management of secure systems.
• Data Engineering: Engineering data assets and systems, including data wrangling and system design, to drive scientific innovation.
