Cross Section Workshop Summary

Abstract

A workshop on cross section processing for pressurized water reactors and boiling water reactors was held at ORNL on January 14–15, 2016. Attendees discussed the process for generation of nuclear data libraries for MPACT, establishing a set of metrics for evaluating the quality of a nuclear data library, identifying methods for treating uncertainties in nuclear data with the subgroup method, and creating a set of action items to pursue in FY 2016 to improve the current 47-group MPACT library.
