233U Cross-Section and Covariance Data Update for SCALE 5.1 Libraries

Abstract

Resonance parameter covariance data have been generated for 233U in the resolved and unresolved resonance region using the computer code SAMMY. High-energy covariance uncertainties were generated at the International Atomic Energy Agency using the computer code EMPIRE. The covariance data were added to the ENDF/B-VII.0 evaluation of 233U cross section. The covariance data were processed with the PUFF module in AMPX. Several benchmark calculations for systems including 233U were done with the TSUNAMI code sensitivity analysis sequence of the SCALE system. The work is in support of criticality safety calculations for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Building 3019.
