Fusion Technology

The Fusion Technology Group, part of the Fusion Nuclear Science, Technology, and Engineering Section, develops innovative technology approaches for heating, fueling, and controlling plasmas required for the efficient operation of future fusion systems.

The group's vision is to become an international leader and preferred strategic partner in the successful deployment of facilities, technologies, and the integration of fusion material advancements that accelerate commercial fusion demonstrations. They are working to achieve this by fostering multidisciplinary collaborations and investing in applied materials/engineering R&D, fusion technology and system engineering development, and prototypic demonstration facilities.
