Cell Phone Recycling Program

Old cellular telephones (50 to 75 per year) are collected and sent to Verizon (a national cellular phone service carrier). Verizon repairs the phones and then supplies them to needy people, especially those who might have need to call 911 in an emergency domestic violence situation and who have no other telephone.

Funds are also donated to the Verizon Hopeline program, which gives grants to national and regional domestic violence groups.
