Viswadeep Lebakula

Bio

Viswadeep Lebakula is currently working as a research scientist (R & D associate) in Human Geography group within the Geospatial Science and Human Security Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). His current research includes applying machine learning, big data analysis, and optimization techniques to estimate high resolution population for the globe, forecast energy demand, satellite imagery, remotely sensed data, and public health. He received Ph.D., and MS degrees in computer science from Mississippi State University and the University of Central Missouri respectively. Before his graduate studies, he worked as an assistant systems engineer at Tata Consultancy Services.
