
Bio
Tom Norby joined the Incident Modeling and Computational Sciences group, originally Nuclear Security Modeling, in October of 2019. In the years since, he has provided software support across the entirety of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Additional responsibilities of his include DevSecOps and system administration to maintain continuous integration and development (CI/CD) pipelines for the group's application build, testing, static analysis, deployment, and publication.
Previously he served as a Software Engineer and Airframe Lead for Garmin, providing primary software and configuration support for Textron's Cessna 172, 182, 206 and 208 airframes, as well as Epic's E1000. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Arizona State University in 2017.
Tom served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps where he earned a Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, and Meritorious Mast.
He hails from Tempe, Arizona and now lives in Lenoir City, Tennessee with his wife and three sons.
