Timothy A. Delk is a Technical Staff Member in Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s National Security Sciences Directorate, where he supports research, and capability analysis for the Department of the Air Force, U.S. Space Force, Department of the Navy, and other national security stakeholders.

Prior to joining ORNL, Delk served in the United States Air Force as an all‑source analyst, producing integrated assessments to inform operational planning, threat characterization, and strategic decision‑making across multiple programs. He later joined ORNL through the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division, where his work centered on the secure transport of special nuclear material. His efforts included protection and movement planning, risk assessment of sensitive nuclear assets in complex operational environments, and technical exchanges with international partners through the International Atomic Energy Agency.
