Seonghan Kim is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. As a computational scientist, his research spans protein–protein/ligand/peptide/membrane interactions, nanomaterials, bio-polymer/nano interfaces, and machine learning applications to materials and interface design, often in close collaboration with experimental teams.

At ORNL, Seonghan focuses on modeling and simulations of biopolymer interfaces and machine learning applications for developing antifouling surfaces. During his Ph.D., Seonghan worked on diverse projects, including protein-protein interactions between SARS-CoV-2 and human ACE2, the development of the CHARMM-GUI Bicelle Builder and Nanomaterial Modeler, modeling and simulations of olfactory GPCRs, and peptide interactions with 2D nanomaterials such as MoS2, WS2, and graphite.
