Bio
Rachel joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in January 2024 as the Chief Operating Officer's Administrative Assistant within the Energy Science and Technology Directorate (ESTD). As of January 2025, she now holds the role of Project and Planning Specialist, focusing on ESTD Safety and Business Operations. With a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Mississippi State University, Rachel brings a rich background in educational administration to her role. Over the course of nine years in the public school system, she has served in various capacities, including her most recent position as an elementary assistant principal.
Rachel’s transition to ORNL reflects her adept organizational skills and commitment to excellence, which she now applies to supporting the COO and enhancing the operational efficiency of the Directorate.
