R. Renae R Speck

Bio

Dr. Speck is the Chief Operating Officer at the Center for Bioenergy Innovation and is Research Relationship Manager for the Energy and Environmental Sciences Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Previously, she was COO for IACMI-The Composites Institute and served as a Senior Commercialization Manager in the Office of Technology Transfer in ORNL's Partnerships Directorate. Renae also has years of experience in academic administration, including as Assistant Director of Technology Transfer at the Johns Hopkins Licensing and Technology Transfer Office, as Program Manager for the Vanderbilt-Meharry Center for AIDS Research, and as Proposal Development Coordinator in the Office of Sponsored Programs at Western Kentucky University. Renae holds a B.S. in Recombinant Genetics and Chemistry from Western Kentucky University and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
