Bio
Radioisotope Production Technician Phil Burke joined ORNL in 2019, as a radiochemistry laboratory technology assistant in an internship through Oak Ridge Associated Universities. He moved to the lab fulltime in 2020, taking a nuclear operations technician position.
Prior to joining ORNL, Phil worked as a chemical operator/safety representative at Wacker Polysilicon North America in Charleston, Tenn. He also completed an internship as an assistant unit operator at TVA's Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.
Phil holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Engineering Technology, with a concentration in nuclear power engineering technology, from Chattanooga State Community College.
