Bio
Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Olivera Kotevska is a research scientist in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division (CSMD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee, USA. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Grenoble Alpes, France, and conducted research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Washington, DC, during her doctoral studies. Her research focuses on machine learning, secure AI, and their intersection with scientific applications. Dr. Kotevska is a 2025 R&D 100 Award Winner, recognizing her leadership in the development of impactful, innovative technologies in privacy preservation, and the recipient of the Highly Cited Research Paper Award by Applied Energy in 2022 for her influential contributions to energy systems research. She has held various organizational roles, including chairing IEEE subcommittees, serving on the editorial boards of ACM Transactions on Internet Technology and Sensors – IoT Data Analytics, and organizing numerous workshops and technical programs. She was awarded IEEE Senior Membership and received the ORNL CSMD Outstanding Mentorship and Outreach Awards.
