
Bio
Nichole (Nikki) White is an instructional designer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where she develops instructional materials for training programs.
In this role, Nikki analyzes, designs, develops, and evaluates learning solutions for delivery in instructor-led, web-based, and blended learning environments. She works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify and determine the appropriate application of learning strategies to address the needs of learners. She develops media such as graphics, video, and interactive content for training materials. Nikki is also the system administrator for gAXIS, Global Agile eXpert Instructional System, the learning management system (LMS) used by the Learning Sciences team to support customer courses and training programs. She brings her background in media and knowledge of adult learning theory to the development of courses for a variety of customers.
Prior to ORNL, Nikki spent eight years as an instructional multimedia specialist where she explored educational technologies to support faculty and students at Roane State Community College. She provided administrative support and training for the College’s LMS, Desire2Learn, and has offered solutions for incorporating media into courses. Prior to that, she was a direct marketing video editor in Seattle, WA.
