Karen Hamby

Bio

Karen joined Oak Ridge National Lab in January 2023 as Administrative Assistant with the Energy Science and Technology Directorate.  Supporting Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Research Analysis Group and Chemical Process Scale-Up Group.  Prior to joining Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Karen spent two years in an Accounts Payable role and then 25 years in the Health Care Industry working through the ranks from Receptionist, Insurance Clerk, Financial Counselor to Supervisor.  Karen professional experience has significantly enhanced her skill set that is used every day at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. 

When not at work, Karen enjoys family time, traveling, playing the piano and church.
