Josh S Cunningham

Information Technology Project Manager

Josh serves as the Information Technology Project Manager for the Operations Section of the National Center for Computational Sciences at ORNL. In this role, he acts as a key liaison for users with projects involving sensitive data, ensuring their protection through the CITADEL security framework. He also facilitates the processing of industry project applications for the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) systems.

Josh manages operations for the OLCF's Quantum Computing User Program (QCUP), which connects researchers with cutting-edge quantum computing resources. Additionally, he supports OLCF user outreach and communication efforts, including organizing the OLCF Annual User Meeting, the Annual Quantum Computing User Forum, and the Annual OLCF User Survey.

Since entering the DOE realm in 2017, Josh has worked for Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), and Y-12 National Security Complex, supporting high-performance computing and national security efforts in his roles. 

Josh is an alum of AmeriCorps and the National Nuclear Security Administration Graduate Fellowship Program.
