Bio
My name is Jonny McCormick. I grew up in Sacramento, CA where i lived for 28 years before moving to East TN in 2022.
I work in NCCS in the HPC Systems section. I am supporting the Slate clusters’ stability and reliability ensuring that users and researchers have a platform available for deploying apps and service. I am also be assisting in configuring the monitoring stack so that metrics, logging, and alerting is in place for all critical applications across NCCS.
Outside of work I enjoy playing music, video games, watching football and spending time with friends and family.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining ORNL, I worked for the State of California as a software developer focusing on income tax information for two years. After that I worked in DevOps for a large bank and was in charge of Openshift cluster migration, general site reliability and vulnerability remediation.
