Currently serving as 4501/4505 Operations Engineer within the Nonreactor Nuclear Facilities Division. Travis joined ORNL in 2016 as a student intern for the Low Active Material Development and Analysis Group (LAMDA).
Travis currently supports various programs within building 4501/4505 radiological facility. Serving as the Facility Operations Manager for Isotope Processing and Manufacturing Division and Radioisotope Science and Technology Division, while also supporting Radioactive Materials Analytical Lab and Nuclear Energy and Fuel Cycle Division. During his start in LAMDA, he became a Technical Professional and Laboratory Coordinator for the Radiation Effects and Microstructural Analysis Group within the Materials Science and Technology Division. Supporting nuclear material analysis research for Office of Fusion Energy Sciences, Office of Nuclear Energy, Spallation Neutron Source, Naval Nuclear Propulsion, X-energy, and EuroFusion.
Travis Dixon has a Master's of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee, along with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Austin Peay State University.
