Research Software Engineer

I'm a research software engineer with a background in physics and a passion for enabling science through software.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy gaming, making music, contributing to open software projects, and lounging with my cat, Korra.

I began my journey as a scientific software engineer during my undergrad at University of Colorado Denver, where I worked with my mentor, Dr. Amy Roberts, to develop and maintain computing infrastructure and data analysis software used by the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search.

From there, I joined TISLab and the Monarch Initiative - an inter-disciplinary bioinformatics collaboration which works to aggregate, integrate, and re-distribute cross-species genetic and disease information. As a part of the TISLab dev team, I contributed to a number of projects such as the data ETL framework, Vue/TS web app, as well as designing the Python API and data interaction package.
