Bio
Chris Masuo is an R&D Associate Staff in the Manufacturing Automation and Controls group at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility. His current research focuses in robotics and controls for large scale wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) systems. Currently, he is the lead software developer for the MedUSA System, a multi-robot WAAM system. Previously, he worked on design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) strategies and process parameter development for WAAM. He is also an active SME member and volunteers as a design mentor for two FIRST Robotics teams.
Chris received his B.S. (2017) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a M.S. (2020) degree in Mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
