August 28, 2008 — Oak Ridge National Laboratory researcher Mike Miller has been elected a fellow of the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS) for his leadership in developing and utilizing the atom probe tomography a process that characterizes the composition of materials.
The honor of TMS fellow is bestowed upon scientists who have demonstrated outstanding distinction a leading authority in an aspect of metallurgy or materials science.
There are 100 TMS fellows with seven of them having an association with ORNL, including former ORNL Director Jeff Wadsworth.
