Donald Noid and Bobby Sumpter of ORNL's Chemical and Analytical Sciences Division will discuss "Theoretical Chemistry Today: Computational Chemistry Tomorrow" during the lecture at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at ORNL's Wigner Auditorium.
Computational chemistry has grown significantly during recent years due to the development of powerful inexpensive computers, general purpose chemistry software and more convenient use of such equipment. Limitations on some computational chemistry and providing a new avenue for solving practical chemistry problems will be discussed.
