The CNMS User Program accommodates both short- and long-term collaborative research projects. Access is obtained through a brief peer-reviewed proposal FREE of CHARGE for users who intend to publish their results in open literature.

Proposal Types

The CNMS seeks high-impact scientific proposals for user-initiated nanoscience research that will effectively leverage CNMS facilities and staff expertise.

Preparing a Proposal

The CNMS website provides detailed descriptions of the center’s research capabilities. Prospective users are strongly encouraged to contact CNMS research area staff members to discuss their proposal ideas and specific capabilities of interest to them.

Review Criteria

After an internal feasibility and safety review, a proposal will be evaluated based on criteria such as scientific merit, technical feasibility, the experimental group’s capability, required resource availability.
