Bio

Virginia Dale is a Corporate Fellow Emeritus.  She also serves as an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; Adjunct Professor for the Department of Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries, University of Tennessee, Knoxville; and as Joint Faculty for the Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education, University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Ecology from the University of Washington, Seattle, a M.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Ecology and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Distinguished Landscape Ecologist awarded by the United States Regional Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology - 2013

National Biodiesel Board "Eye on Biodiesel" Innovation Award - 2012

Member of the international science community that contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Scientific Assessment which received with Al Gore the Nobel Peace Price - 2007
