Vickey Luckadoo
Group Administrative Assistant, Chemical Sciences Division (CSD)

Vickey plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective and efficient administrative support across the Nuclear Analytical Chemistry (NAC) Section in the Chemical Sciences Division (CSD), part of the Physical Sciences Directorate (PSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). With over 34 years of experience as an administrative professional, she brings a strong foundation in administrative operations, her deep knowledge of ORNL’s administrative policies, procedures, and systems enables her to navigate complex workflows and support mission-critical operations with precision and care.

Vickey began her career at ORNL in February 2010 as a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Computing and Computational Sciences Division (CCSD). She later transitioned to the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD), where she served for eight years, further honing her skills in organizational support and cross-functional coordination.

Her commitment to service began long before her time at ORNL. Following in her father's footsteps, Vickey joined the United States Air Force in 1986. Coming from a large family and being largely self-taught, she was driven by a strong desire to learn and serve. 

After serving over 20 years, Vickey retired as a Master Sergeant in February, 2023
