Stephen E Stewart

Stephen Stewart is a Mechanical Engineer in the Accelerator Engineering Design Group in the Research Accelerator Division at the Spallation Neutron Source.  His expertise is in machine design.  Mr. Stewart has worked in a variety of industries including shipbuilding and inkjet printers.  In 2008, he joined the Neutron Science Directorate in Accelerating Engineering.  He has worked on almost all areas of the Linear Accelerator (LINAC) from the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) to the Target.  He has also worked on Sample Environment projects.  He designed the spare High and Medium Beta Cryomodule Vacuum Vessel and End-cans to be ASME code stamped vessels. 

 

He has a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
