Latha Malar Baskaran
Latha Baskaran is a research scientist at the Environmental Science Division in the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), where she has been working on projects related to environmental sustainability and modeling since 2003. Dr. Baskaran’s research interests include bioenergy sustainability, environmental indicators, biodiversity, hydrologic modeling, habitat modeling, and land-use and land-cover change. Dr. Baskaran received her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Tennessee, M.S. in Geography from the Pennsylvania State University and B.E. in GeoInformatics from Anna University. She has presented her research at a number of professional conferences and forums, including the American Association of Geographers (AAG) Annual Conference, the International ESRI Users Conference, the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Conference and the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Annual Conference.
