Landon C Williams

Bio

Landon Williams graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in French. Before beginning his career in analytical chemistry, he accepted a position in Normandy, France, where he taught English and science in French grade schools while strengthening his French language skills.

Landon returned to the United States and worked at Materials and Chemistry Laboratory, Inc. (MCLinc) from 2020 to 2024, where he advanced quickly and became a leader in the metals laboratory group. He operated instrumentation including ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and CVAA to support industrial hygiene and environmental analysis, as well as trace metals analysis of depleted uranium alloys.

In 2024, he joined the Waste Characterization group at RSI, supporting the safe demolition and disposal of Manhattan Project era facilities at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 National Security Complex. In this role, he developed waste disposition plans and collaborated with EPA and DOE teams to ensure project objectives were met or exceeded.

Landon joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory in November 2025 as a Mass Spectrometry Chemist with the Radioactive Materials Analytical Laboratory (RMAL). 

Outside of work, Landon enjoys mountain biking, road cycling, and running, and he volunteers with local organizations to stay connected to the community he grew up in.
