Bio
Joel Ewan is a Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Center for Infrastructure Security Analysis (CISA) Program, as part of Chemical Security Assessment Tool (CSAT) systems support. CSAT is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Joel also works on Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) at ORNL which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Joel joined ORNL in 2021 and supports CSAT and ARM with expertise as a web application programmer and database developer.
Prior to coming to ORNL, Joel worked as a senior software engineer, analyst, and project lead in a diverse number of fields, including healthcare, telecom, marketing, and department of defense projects, while developing new software to support in-house and external projects, to perform user requested improvements, and to intake high quality data for improved research usage.
